Factors that bring about unwanted cellulites
Genetics has been proven to play a role in cellulite formation. It is said that girls as young as 14 years old can already develop it depending on the genes they have. If you want to know whether you are going to have cellulite, try checking if your mother has it and you’ll get your answer. Since this factor is primarily for women, about 90% of women populations in the world get affected with it. It is noted though that White women have greater occurrences when it comes to this unwanted skin problem than most Asian or African-American women.
Hormones are also causes of cellulite. Though we need them for our bodies to function normally, hormones can be considered drawbacks when it comes to cellulite issues. One particular hormone found in women is said to be the culprit why women are the common victims of this problem: estrogen. It can be observed that women, especially those on birth control, cannot immediately flush away excess estrogen and so development of cellulite on their bodies is a natural occurrence. Other hormones also involved in the process are cortisol and thyroid hormone, insulin, and even catecholamines.
Lifestyle is another powerful cellulite-causing factor. Women who lead a sedentary lifestyle cause a decrease in muscle tissues and an increase on fatty types which contributes to the aggravation of cellulite. Too much salt on your diet can bring about fluid retention and a low fiber intake can cause constipation and an increase in the venous resistance in the lower limbs. If this happens, blockage and capillary permeability increases. A poor diet which consists mainly of fats and carbohydrates also promote cellulites in the body. Some studies also show that stress, anxiety, and depression can, in one way or another, provide opportunities for cellulite formation.
Aging is the irreversible and uncontrollable factor when it comes to cellulite formation. The subcutaneous layer of the skin becomes thinner as we age. Those contained in our deep skin layers are then redistributed without organization resulting to unflattering sights over time. Also when our circulatory system is disturbed due to traumatic injuries, cellulites can be observed to slowly appear.
So now that you have ideas why cellulite occurs, you can now face this problem rationally. All you have to do is determine what factor causes your skin problem and consult the various treatments available in the market to be cellulite-free!
