    Healthy Alternatives to Botox

    I never thought I was the type for Botox. I mean I take great care of myself, get plenty of exercise, drink lots of water, eat healthy, the whole bit. But lately my face is, I don’t know, lackluster. Not fresh. Not beautiful. I was really getting depressed about it when a friend at work mentioned this great website I should check out – DermTV.com. The work of an NYC dermatologist, this site is a great place to learn skin care secrets and the key to facial rejuvenation.

     

    By watching the videos with Dr Neal Schultz I learned a great deal about my skin and how to look younger without plastic surgery. Although Botox might be an option later, I have decided to try alternative methods for facial rejuvenation first. Dr Schultz has convinced me that part of what is likely bothering me about my face is not wrinkles, but the state of my skin. So now the plan is to start a daily exfoliating and cleansing program to see if my skin can rejuvenate itself. Once I have removed dead cells and surface impurities and brought glowing new skin to the surface I can then decide if my wrinkles bother me as much as I thought they did.

    If I still am bothered by my wrinkles, I can try Botox or a filler such as Cosmoderm or Retylane. My dermatologist can advise me on the one that will work best for me. There are many options to explore such as chemical peels or microdermabrasion. The best thing about watching the videos at DermTV was that they convinced me I didn’t have to despair – I can have a fresh, glowing complexion once again.

     

    I have been so busy taking care of my body from the inside out that I have been neglecting my skin. I am confident that will regular exfoliation and antioxidants I will see a new me in the mirror. Once my skin is at optimal health I can decide if my facial rejuvenation is complete or if I will need to take the next step and get Botox or filler treatments to smooth out my wrinkles. I am a person who likes to be proactive and thanks to the great information from Dr Schultz, I now feel I have the knowledge to do just that.
