Psoriasis and eczema are diseases that can affect anyone, no matter what age, sex or race. There is no cure for psoriasis and so it often recurs throughout life. It is one of the most common skin diseases out there, and yet one of the least well known as well. People have come to learn more about the disease recently as it has been taken more seriously by health care officials.

Traditionally, psoriasis is seen as a genetic disease passed from one family member to another. But there is a lack of evidence as to how it passes through generations and it is not guaranteed that you will suffer from it just because someone in your family has done in the past.
Children and Psoriasis / Eczema.
Adults and Children get similar symptoms including red and flaky areas of skin that can cover any area of the body. The more likely you are to notice this regardless of whether it is psoriasis in children or adults, will depend on the severity of the case itself, and so often times you will not even notice psoriasis in children, even if they are your own.
If you do notice that your child has symptoms that could be psoriasis or eczema, take them to a doctor to get a proper diagnosis and any treatments available.

Ask your doctor any and all of the questions you have about psoriasis, even if they seem insignificant to you, just so that you have all the information you need to care for your child and ease any pain they may experience whilst the symptoms flare up. Do not worry excessively if your child is diagnosed with psoriasis or eczema as there are thousands of treatments available for you and your child to try.
Psoriasis and eczema can cause a sufferer pain and discomfort, however your child may live a long life unaffected by the diagnosis, as their symptoms could remain mild and even unnoticeable.
