Since eczema can be hereditary it is often very hard to cure, which often triggers questions such as “Why me?” So how to find out if perhaps you have a natural predisposition for eczema? Try to find out who among your closest relatives has a history of skin disease problems and what remedies have worked for her or him. If people could simply cure eczema with cheap home treatments who would then buy their expensive OTC medications?
You can spend your entire life trying to treat the disease by using various forms of steroid creams, pills, and lotions. About 20 years ago I was first diagnosed with atopic eczema. It worked for a short period of time, but then ceased to be effective and the eczema came back even worse than before. Eczema symptoms include irritated patches, red rash spots, bumps and itching which can get severe without eczema treatment. It wasn’t until a little over year ago that someone introduced to me the idea of treating my eczema holistically.
Eczema in simple terms can be said to be an allergy that affects the outer layer of the skin. No one yet is certain of the exact cause of this disorder. Other factors that may aggravate it includes. Eczema symptoms will normally include the following; the skin becomes dry, reddish and scaly, swells, itches then a burning sensation and pricking pain follows.
But most eczema sufferers will agree, the traditional steroid cream and pill methods do not work, or they don’t provide a permanent cure. And using a steroid cream or any cream for that matter is only geared toward symptoms. From personal experience I can say that most of the time the creams would work for a short period of time, maybe a month or two before they became almost completely ineffective. I got really tired of this. Finding this out was as simple as requesting an allergy test from my doctor.
